LANSING, MI — Arbor Day is traditionally celebrated by tree plantings, but the Potter Park Zoo in Lansing is hosting a bunch of activities today to commemorate the day. Even though the zoo might be better known for its animals, the focus will primarily be on plants and trees today, according to a report from media partner 6 News WLNS in Lansing.
Booths will be set up both in the adjacent park and within the zoo gates to help promote and encourage experiential learning. Guests today can learn to identify plants and trees, play games like migratory bird trivia, and more.
The zoo is open today from 10:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m., rain or shine, for Arbor Day
