DES MOINES, IOWA (WWDK) — Michigan State advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament after taking a late lead to beat Bradley 76-65 in the East Region in Des Moines. Cassius Winston led the second-seeded Spartans with 26 points.
Two-seed Michigan is moving on in the NCAA Tournament after a 74-55 win over 15th-seeded Montana in the West Region in Des Moines. Charles Matthews led the Wolverines with 22 points and 11 rebounds, Ignas Brazdeikis had 14.
The Spartans next play Minnesota on Saturday at 7:45 p.m. U-of-M will tip off against 10th-seeded Florida tomorrow afternoon at 5:15 p.m.
